Program Overview
Host Location: World Bank, Washington, D.C.
Duration: 8 months (September–May)
Departments: Fellows collaborate with researchers in the Development Impact (DIME) and Development Research Group departments.
Research Scope: Fellows participate in rigorous, policy-relevant research to address pressing development challenges.

Fellows work on World Bank projects under the supervision of DEC researchers.
Opportunities to contribute to published research, co-author papers, join field missions, or engage directly with World Bank clients.
Capacity Building
One-week onboarding training focusing on reproducible research practices.

Compensation & Benefits
Stipend: $46,500 (net of taxes) for the 8-month fellowship, paid in monthly installments.
Visa Support: The World Bank HR Operations unit assists fellows in obtaining a G4 visa for their stay in the U.S.
Note: Travel expenses are not covered.
