About the Graduate Programme
The Wealth and Retail Banking Graduate Programme is an 18-month journey designed to equip you with the skills, experience, and exposure needed to thrive in the banking industry.
This programme allows you to explore multiple facets of our business, including products, services, customer experiences, and digital strategies. You’ll gain hands-on experience in different segments and understand how we collaborate across functions to deliver impactful projects and exceptional customer value.
What You’ll Experience
During this 18-month programme, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Learn and Develop: Participate in an intensive induction programme, where you'll interact with senior executives and build lasting networks.
Rotational Opportunities:
First 12 months: Work in distribution and front-line roles to understand customer engagement.
Next 6 months: Explore roles in digital banking, product development, or segment management based on your interests and business priorities.
Final 6 months: Deepen your understanding of specific products and services, preparing you for a long-term career at Standard Chartered.
Continuous Training: Build technical, business, and interpersonal skills through simulations, case studies, and future-focused learning.

Eligibility Requirements:

Permanent legal right to work in Kenya.
For the UK and UAE, candidates requiring visa sponsorship are considered, with priority given to UAE nationals.

Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Limited was established in 1911 with the first branch opened in Mombasa Treasury Square. The bank listed in the Nairobi Securities exchange in 1989. The public shareholding is just under 25 per cent ( remainder held by Standard Chartered PLC) and comprises over 30,000 shareholders.
