Job Description:
The Warehouse and Distribution Team Leader will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations and outbound distribution. This role includes managing the warehousing and distribution teams, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, optimizing inventory management, and overseeing transportation logistics. You will work with third-party logistics (3PL) partners to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and safe delivery of products to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehousing:

  • Oversee warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring compliance with local, national, and international regulations.

  • Implement operational policies and procedures for warehouse safety and efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities and fleet vehicle condition and location.

  • Conduct weekly cycle counts and quarterly stock takes to ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Partner with suppliers to optimize storage and labeling practices for efficient inventory management.

  • Communicate with different departments and teams to ensure smooth operational coordination.

  • Manage KPIs with 3PL providers to ensure optimal performance.

  • Maintain stock accuracy above 99.98%.

Outbound Distribution:

  • Ensure the safe and timely transportation of products to customers via 3PL.

  • Develop strategies to ensure all incoming and outgoing products are sent and received on time.

  • Manage and implement SLAs with 3PL distribution partners.

  • Ensure compliance with documentation processes for all export orders.

People Management:

  • Manage logistics team tasks and workload effectively.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the team operates efficiently.

  • Oversee the recruitment process for logistics team staff changes.

  • Coach, develop, and conduct performance appraisals for logistics team members.

  • Ensure a safe working environment for the team and manage contracts for outsourced employees.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field (preferred).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics supervisory roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
