Underwriting Assistant - Incourage

About the Role:
As an Underwriting Assistant at Incourage, you will play a crucial role in supporting the underwriting team in assessing and processing insurance applications. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of underwriting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle the DMVIC platform to issue motor insurance stickers immediately.

• Manage Comprehensive, TPO, and TOR requests within TAT daily from Monday to Saturday.

• Backup client data correctly and ensure proper KYC details are received.

• Use internal communication channels according to Incourage guidelines and company policy.

• Master the internal CRM and input all required information accurately and fully.

• Prepare renewal notices and follow up until closure.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to manage customer payments and apply credit facilities when needed.

• Conduct thorough and timely valuation follow-ups to ensure accurate underwriting assessments.

• Utilize the internal dashboard system to process and submit approval applications efficiently.

• Support the BD team to focus on acquiring new customers for Incourage.

• Conduct declarations to underwriters with the correct customer information on time.

• Communicate with applicants via phone, email, and in person to collect insurance information and facilitate the risk assessment process.

• Screen renewals and refer problem accounts to underwriters.

• Compile data and analytics for reports that advise on insurance policy guidelines and coverage decisions.

• Serve as the liaison between underwriters and customers to track, manage, and prioritize insurance applications.

• Maintain records of complaints and concerns from clients and agents for follow-up and action.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Professional qualification in Insurance or significant progress towards its attainment.

• Relevant experience in the insurance industry in a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of insurance, regulatory requirements, and processes.

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate data collection and entry.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge in Claims is an added advantage.
