Duties & Responsibilities:
Driving and Transportation (60% of time):
Safely operate U.S. Government-owned or leased vehicles (trucks, vans, etc.).
Transport expendable and non-expendable items to and from the warehouse to office buildings, residences, and other locations.
Perform minor vehicle maintenance repairs as needed.
Handle cash up to $1,000 and government fuel credit cards for vehicles.
Warehouse Operations and Maintenance (20% of time):
Load and unload items including furniture and appliances from vehicles to the warehouse.
Assist with organizing and delivering items to various locations.
Inventory (10% of time):
Assist with warehouse inventory and ensure proper storage and security of items.
Conduct inventories and identify damaged or missing items.
Other Duties (10% of time):
Assist with manual labor during events and visits, and provide escort services when necessary.
Qualifications and Evaluations:
Experience:
Two (2) years of professional truck or heavy vehicle driving experience.
One (1) year of experience in manual labor or warehouse work.
Education:
Completion of Primary School is required.
Language Skills:
English Level II (Limited Knowledge); speaking, reading & writing required.
Kiswahili Level III (Good working knowledge); speaking, reading & writing required.
Skills and Abilities:
Physically able to perform loading and unloading tasks.
Ability to operate warehouse tools and equipment such as forklifts and hand trolleys.
Capable of diagnosing and performing preventive maintenance on vehicles.
Benefits:

Pay plan assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter.
