Technical Manager - Electrical Solutions

Role Purpose:
The Technical Manager - Electrical Solutions will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of electrical engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role involves working with multiple stakeholders, managing teams, and solving complex electrical engineering challenges. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience, a strong understanding of electrical systems, and be capable of driving project success from conceptualization to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of customized electrical solutions tailored to client needs.

• Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality projects.

• Ensure all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Manage project budgets, material, equipment, and labor costs.

• Conduct regular project reviews to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.

• Mentor and guide engineering teams, providing technical support and fostering career growth.

• Ensure all work adheres to industry safety standards and regulations.

• Conduct quality control checks and provide ongoing project documentation to track progress.

• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and effective problem-solving.

• Oversee the procurement process and maintain strong supplier and contractor relationships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).

• At least 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a minimum of 2 years in a project management role.

• Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD and ETAP.

• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and industry regulations.

• Proven leadership and team management experience.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer certifications or equivalent are highly desirable.

• Experience in industries such as construction, renewable energy, industrial automation, or power systems.

• Familiarity with Kenyan and regional electrical codes and standards.
