Job Overview:

The Technical Data Program Manager (TPM) is responsible for managing data-related programs across the IRC, including the Data Lakehouse, Location Data Governance, and Enterprise Data Catalog. This position utilizes Agile methodologies to manage sprint planning, task management, and product backlogs, serving as the Scrum Master for cross-functional teams. The TPM will also focus on collaborating with product managers and delivering clear documentation to ensure stakeholders fully understand the programs.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Agile duties such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

  • Use project management software (e.g., Jira, Monday.com, MS Azure DevOps) to track and manage program activities.

  • Lead cross-functional teams through the software development lifecycle.

  • Develop user-centered strategies, facilitating communication across technology and business teams.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

  • Build and maintain program roadmaps and risk mitigation plans.

  • Provide clear technical communication to various stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience with program/project management and Agile methodologies (SCRUM).

  • Experience using tools like Jira, Trello, or Microsoft Planner for managing projects.

  • Familiarity with Lakehouse Architecture, Data Modeling, and tools like Power BI, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, or Synapse.

  • Ability to lead teams in ambiguous situations and communicate technical concepts clearly.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to drive independent work and collaborate in a global, multicultural setting.

Position Reports To:

  • Senior Data Portfolio Manager

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience in similar technical or program management roles.

  • Strong understanding of data tools and Agile processes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Compensation:

  • £45,499 to £53,083 per year based on experience and location.
