Background:
The International Rescue Committee UK (IRC UK) is part of the IRC global network, providing emergency relief, resettling refugees, and rebuilding lives in over 40 countries. The IRC is a tireless advocate for the vulnerable, offering innovative solutions and building partnerships for greater impact.
The Awards Management Unit (AMU):
The AMU supports the IRC's funding efforts from statutory donors across its global network. It offers expert technical advice and ensures donor compliance, operating within a matrix management system across various teams. The AMU is crucial for implementing strategies that enhance IRC’s global priorities.
Purpose of the Role:
The Strategic Delivery & Resourcing Manager leads the Cross-Regional Integrated Support (CRIS) sub-team within the AMU. This team supports the Regional Program & Award Support (RPAS) teams and works on improving cross-regional learning and award management processes. The role involves coordinating surge support and ensuring RPAS teams are resourced effectively.
Key Working Relationships:
Reports to: Director, Awards Management, Cross-Regional
Supervises: 6 Program Development & Award Advisors (PDAAs)
Collaborates: PAS leadership, Senior Complex Award Specialists, AMU Senior Leadership and staff
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Coordinating Surge Support and Enabling Cross-Regional Learning:
Manage the CRIS team, ensuring effective surge support across regional PAS teams.
Implement systems to improve feedback and learning across teams.
Lead efforts in cross-regional delivery improvements and training.
Foster teamwork, resourcing, and accountability within the CRIS team.
Ensuring RPAS Teams Are Resourced to Meet Organizational Objectives:
Coordinate PAS team management to support team efficiency.
Work with PAS leadership to identify strategic priorities and translate them into annual work plans.
Ensure successful delivery of PAS priorities, including governance, resourcing, monitoring, and reporting.
Optimize departmental procedures and processes for greater efficiency.
Maintain and improve PAS knowledge management, enhancing institutional memory.
Requirements:
Significant nonprofit experience in awards management and/or project delivery, including senior management support.
Self-directed project management experience with a flexible attitude.
Collaborative and persuasive communication skills, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Proven experience in translating strategy into action and managing business improvement projects.
People management experience, including team leadership.
Strong knowledge of online collaboration tools and technology.
Compensation:
The pay range applies to UK-based candidates, and offers are determined based on location, candidate experience, and job requirements.
