Senior Lecturer - Entrepreneurship at Zetech University

Job Objective

The Senior Lecturer - Entrepreneurship will carry out teaching roles, student mentoring, research, and other duties in alignment with the university’s overall goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching and Curriculum Development:

    • Teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department.

    • Design, develop, plan, and deliver a range of study programs, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.

    • Deliver high-quality lectures and practicals.

    • Review course content and materials regularly, updating as necessary.

    • Collaborate with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes, and research activities.

  • Research and Development:

    • Conduct research and write research grant proposals.

    • Seek and participate in consultancies.

    • Present research papers at national and international conferences and other similar events.

    • Disseminate research outputs through appropriate channels.

  • Mentorship and Guidance:

    • Provide mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.

    • Ensure all academic activities align with institutional and professional standards.

  • Administrative and Miscellaneous Duties:

    • Take on other duties as assigned by supervisors or as captured in the detailed job description.

Qualifications and Experience

  • PhD/Doctorate in Management Information Systems, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, or a relevant field from a recognized/accredited university.

  • Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, or related field.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, or a relevant field from a recognized/accredited university.

  • A minimum of 32 equivalent publication points as a Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow (with at least 24 points from refereed journal articles).

  • Supervised at least two postgraduate students.

  • Attracted research funds as a Lecturer/Research Fellow.

  • Attended and contributed to academic conferences, seminars, and workshops.

  • Evidence of being a member of a relevant professional body.

  • Evidence of leadership experience (administrative, departmental, or university-wide involvement).
