Senior Business Analyst

Role Purpose
Act as a key liaison between business users and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable technical requirements and managing the requirements lifecycle. Ensure solutions meet defined standards through thorough testing and validation. Success will be measured by customer satisfaction and the delivery of high-quality, impactful solutions that enhance user experience and support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy:

• Conduct business analysis to understand technical solution needs, document requirements, and create functional specifications.

• Develop test cases with success criteria, guide users in testing, and use feedback to inform project execution.

• Design solutions to optimize digital customer experiences and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Benchmark against market best practices to innovate and align solution proposals.

• Drive improved customer outcomes using agile change methodologies.

Operational:

• Elicit requirements through workshops, surveys, and interviews, translating them into actionable formats for solution delivery teams.

• Evaluate processes and systems to recommend improvements aligned with emerging technologies.

• Conduct root cause analysis for customer complaints, risk, and audit issues to address gaps.

• Design workflows to improve operational effectiveness and ensure technical quality assurance before user testing.

• Benchmark with industry standards to interpret data for digital operations improvement.

Corporate Governance:

• Ensure solutions comply with Information Security & Data Protection standards.

• Adhere to requirements management guidelines to assure quality outputs.

• Seek feedback from stakeholders to improve customer service standards.

Leadership & Culture:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver market-ready products through rigorous testing.

• Work with business teams and project partners to develop and implement optimal technologies.

• Encourage knowledge transfer and lessons learned within the project team.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Business or IT-related field.

• Professional qualification in Business Analysis (IIBA or equivalent).

• Project Management or Process Analysis qualifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma) are an added advantage.

Relevant Experience

• At least 5 years in Business Analysis for complex projects.

• Insurance industry experience is an added advantage.

• Proficient in interpreting customer needs and translating them into requirements.

• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and testing tools.
