Sales Manager - Leisure

Job Description

Reporting to the Cluster Director of Sales, your key responsibilities will include driving the Leisure segment’s sales goals, achieving personal sales targets, and developing new business opportunities. Your role will involve regular sales calls, attending tradeshows, and conducting site inspections with clients to ensure maximum revenue growth and client satisfaction.

What you will be doing:

• Exceed personal sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis through account development, maintenance, sales calls, entertainment, and trips.

• Develop new lead sources through prospecting, cold calls, referrals, and solicitation.

• Conduct site inspections with potential and existing clients.

• Implement new sales strategies and action plans for your account base.

• Coordinate and manage sales trips and related financial activities.

• Maintain active membership in relevant industry organizations and associations.

• Support fellow sales and catering managers and refer group leads.

• Attend sales meetings, events, and hotel-sponsored functions.

• Prepare and attend daily sales meetings, weekly sales & marketing meetings, and others as necessary.

• Submit weekly sales reports to the Director of Sales.

• Keep account information up-to-date in Opera and hard files.

• Participate in industry functions, trade shows, FAM visits, and events.

• Ensure adherence to Fairmont Hotels and Resorts' sales and marketing standards.

• Assist with additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Hotel Management degree preferred.

• At least 5 years’ experience in sales at a 5-star hotel.

• Knowledge of the luxury market.

• Strong understanding of hospitality industry dynamics.

• Ability to travel regularly and work flexible hours.

• Knowledge of Opera, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
