Restaurant Manager

Job Description

As a Restaurant Manager at Fairmont Mara Safari Club, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant’s operations, leading a passionate Food & Beverage team, and ensuring guests have an unforgettable dining experience. You will manage both the operational and administrative elements of the restaurant, aiming to exceed guest expectations while ensuring smooth and efficient service.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Lead, mentor, and train the Food & Beverage Operations team to deliver top-notch service.

• Ensure that Food & Beverage brand standards are consistently maintained.

• Strategize on new products, service offerings, and initiatives to enhance the guest experience.

• Manage operational requirements for the department, including scheduling, reporting, promotions, stocktaking, and ordering.

• Oversee private and corporate functions, meetings, parties, and other events, ensuring that all legal obligations and standards are met.

• Review and act on guest feedback to continuously improve service.

• Hold daily and monthly departmental meetings to ensure smooth operations.

• Foster a positive, high-performance culture through leadership and team building.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a senior leadership role within the Food & Beverage sector.

• A passion for Food & Beverage and trend knowledge; beverage experience is a plus.

• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.

• Strong communication and networking skills.

• Ability to lead by example and set a high-performance standard for your team.
