Job Purpose:
We are seeking a Relationship Manager, Corporate Retention, to join Jubilee Health Insurance Limited. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Business Retention and will be based at our Head Office in Nairobi. The role involves managing and retaining a portfolio of health insurance clients, executing retention strategies, ensuring exceptional client experiences, and driving customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy:
Develop and execute strategies to retain existing health insurance clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and address concerns proactively.
Cultivate relationships with decision-makers within client organizations to position health insurance solutions effectively.
Analyze client retention trends and use data-driven insights to improve retention strategies.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes. Use market insights to identify opportunities for service improvements and customer retention.
Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell additional health insurance products and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive revenue growth.
2. Operational:
Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction with their health insurance coverage.
Monitor and measure client satisfaction through surveys, feedback, and regular check-ins. Implement initiatives to improve client satisfaction and address gaps.
Manage the contract renewal process for assigned clients, working with underwriting and pricing teams to ensure timely and competitive renewals.
Advocate for clients within the organization, ensuring their interests are represented and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
Prepare reports and presentations on client retention metrics, providing insights to senior management on performance and areas for improvement.
3. Corporate Governance:
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational policies during the renewal process.
Stay informed on regulatory changes impacting the health insurance industry and ensure compliance with industry standards.
4. Leadership & Culture:
Build and maintain positive relationships with brokers, clients, and other internal and external stakeholders, ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills
Stakeholder management and contract/policy interpretation
Strong business acumen and negotiation abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-centric approach
Analytical skills to interpret data and develop effective strategies
Academic & Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
Professional Insurance Qualification.
Relevant Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in client relationship management within the insurance or healthcare industry, with proven ability to develop and execute client retention strategies.
