Purpose:
Are you an experienced investment professional passionate about driving portfolio performance and delivering exceptional client value? Apollo Asset Management Company Ltd (AAMC) is seeking a dynamic Portfolio Manager to join our team. This role is primarily focused on managing diverse client portfolios, leading research and analysis efforts, and contributing to shaping the future of investment management in Kenya.
Key Primary Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor client portfolios to achieve superior returns while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Design and execute asset allocation strategies and investment recommendations.
Provide timely and insightful client reporting, including fact sheets, thematic investment notes, and performance reviews.
Lead research on sectors, companies, and markets to support informed investment decisions.
Represent AAMC in client interactions, providing expert advice and enhancing client relationships.
Conduct due diligence on brokers, banks, and service providers to ensure alignment with investment strategies.
Support business development initiatives, including marketing and responding to tenders.
Oversee the implementation of Investment Committee recommendations and ensure alignment with client mandates.
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
Professional Qualifications:
Progression towards CFA/CAIA and CISI Level 1 & 2 is highly desirable.
Knowledge and Experience:
4-5 years in investment management, including unit trusts and third-party mandates.
Skills and Attributes:
Strong analytical and research capabilities with a keen eye for detail.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage a diverse clientele.
Proficiency in investment platforms, with familiarity in Innova being an advantage.
Energetic, team-oriented, and capable of inspiring a results-driven culture.
Excellent presentation and report-writing skills, tailored to diverse audiences.
