Pharmacy In-Charge at AAR Healthcare Kenya

Overall Purpose of the Job

Reporting to the Health Centre Manager, the Pharmacy In-Charge will manage pharmaceutical operations within the outpatient centre to ensure effective treatment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Reviewing and Dispensing Medicine:

    • Ensure accurate dispensing of medications as per prescriptions and treatment plans.

  2. Inventory Management:

    • Oversee the inventory of medications, ensuring availability and proper storage of pharmaceuticals.

  3. Verification and Validation:

    • Validate and verify insurance instructions for pharmaceutical services.

  4. Report Preparation:

    • Prepare periodic reports on pharmacy operations, including stock levels, medicine usage, and other relevant metrics.

  5. Supervision and Leadership:

    • Supervise and provide leadership to pharmacy staff, ensuring efficiency and adherence to operational standards.

Position Requirements

Education:

  • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.

Licensing:

  • Valid practicing license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical operations after enrollment with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
