Project Overview and Role:
The USAID Feed the Future Kenya Private Sector Activity (KPSA) is a $48 million project funded by USAID and implemented by Palladium. KPSA aims to accelerate inclusive economic growth in Kenya through partnerships with agricultural, health, and other sectors. The project will create new jobs, increase exports, and expand access to healthcare services from 2024 to 2029.
Palladium seeks four Partnership Managers to help identify and manage partnership opportunities, design results-oriented Pay for Results (P4R) subawards, and oversee inclusive growth partnerships within assigned regions.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead coordination, management, and support for assigned inclusive growth partnerships.
Liaise with partners to align their objectives with KPSA’s goals.
Assist in designing, preparing, and negotiating partner strategies with internal staff and potential partners.
Oversee the implementation and success of assigned partnerships.
Ensure the inclusion of priority groups, including women, youth, and marginalized communities.
Develop strategies for locally-led activities that generate benefits for vulnerable groups, including indigenous populations and persons with disabilities.
Facilitate the technical design of grants, partnerships, and subcontracting approaches aligned with the Inclusive Business Model, Financial Institutions, and Business Advisory Service Providers teams.
Prepare, organize, and maintain partnership records and ensure compliance with award and performance documentation.
Key Competencies Required:
Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a relevant field.
Proven experience in identifying and broker strategic partnerships in sectors such as climate transition investments.
Experience negotiating agreements with multi-sector stakeholders, including the private sector, NGOs, civil society, and government entities.
Knowledge and experience working with catalytic funding, including USAID-funded grants, is a plus.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong management skills to guide human, technical, and financial resources across the project.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
