Project Overview and Role:
The USAID Feed the Future Kenya Private Sector Activity (KPSA) is a $48 million project funded by USAID and implemented by Palladium. KPSA aims to promote inclusive economic growth in Kenya by partnering with firms in agriculture, health, and other sectors. Over its 2024-2029 timeframe, the project will mobilize $400 million in finance, create jobs, boost exports, and enhance healthcare services.
The Operations Manager will oversee the operational aspects of KPSA, ensuring smooth day-to-day management of travel, events, office logistics, procurement, and more.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate both regional and international travel for project staff and consultants.
Organize and support conferences, training sessions, and meetings.
Operate the telephone switchboard and manage all office communications.
Coordinate office logistics, including maintaining service agreements and procurement plans across Palladium Kenya projects.
Support office visitors and resolve any inquiries or issues.
Ensure smooth execution of training events and seminars.
Maintain a procurement plan that aligns with USAID and GOK VAT exemption guidelines.
Assist in supporting the accounting, M&E, and communications teams.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Finance, COP, and project leadership.
Position Requirements:
Minimum of five years’ experience in administration or office management.
Previous USAID project experience is preferred.
Strong verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
A professional and mature demeanor.
Kenyan nationals preferred.
