We are excited to announce a career opportunity for an Officer - Training within Jubilee Life Insurance Limited. The position holder will report to the Head of Agency Training and will be based in Kisumu.
Role Purpose
The Officer - Training will design, develop, and deliver effective training programs and initiatives for the agency force. This role will equip agents with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to excel in their roles, enhance sales performance, and uphold professional standards.
Main Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities
Deliver training courses and programs to the Life Company Sales Force.
Conduct training needs analysis and organize tailored training programs.
Develop, review, and maintain training curriculum, content materials, manuals, and aids specific to Life Assurance Training.
Conduct regular training impact assessments.
Prepare and share timely reports with target groups through their respective managers.
Schedule and execute training activities according to the training calendar.
Build control mechanisms to ensure optimum participation in each training session.
Address product queries from agents and develop testing procedures.
Coordinate COP/ECOP registrations and educational needs of agents with the College of Insurance, ensuring timely payments.
Train and register agents in the Life Agency Portal, tracking registrations monthly.
Track and analyze market training trends, staying informed about industry developments and competitor activities.
Facilitate recruitment and training of new agents and managers in collaboration with agency, bancassurance, and alternative channel leadership.
Assist in opening new markets and present Personal Financial Management sessions during market activations.
Corporate Governance
Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and industry best practices.
Adhere to Kenya’s laws, insurance industry regulations, and internal company policies.
Establish mitigation measures for emerging business risks.
Cultural Responsibilities
Promote a corporate culture of ethical practices and good citizenship while fostering a conducive work environment.
Collaborate with teams to develop initiatives that support an inclusive company culture.
Create personalized development plans aligned with individual and organizational goals.
Key Competencies
Training & Facilitation: Proficient in designing and delivering impactful training programs using engaging methodologies.
Communication & Presentation: Strong verbal and written skills to simplify complex concepts and engage learners.
Relationship Building: Ability to foster positive relationships with agents for an effective learning environment.
Analytical Thinking: Skill in assessing training needs and addressing performance gaps.
Problem-Solving: Capability to identify challenges and propose solutions to enhance training effectiveness.
Academic Background & Relevant Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Certified Trainer Qualification.
ECOP Qualification.
Diploma in Insurance (advantageous).
LOMA/CII/IIK Qualification (advantageous).
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
