Project Overview and Role:
The USAID Feed the Future Kenya Private Sector Activity (KPSA) is a $48 million project funded by USAID and implemented by Palladium. Running from 2024–2029, KPSA aims to foster inclusive economic growth in Kenya by collaborating with firms in agriculture, health, and other sectors. The project seeks to mobilize $400 million in financing, create new jobs, boost exports and sales, and enhance healthcare service access.
As a MEL Specialist, you will oversee data collection and analysis to evaluate the project's impact. You will be responsible for tracking progress, reporting, and supporting decision-making processes to achieve the project's objectives.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop the project’s Activity Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Plan (AMELP) and associated deliverables.
Coordinate baseline data collection and integrate findings with project activities.
Oversee Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) initiatives to enable data-driven decisions and activity pivots.
Maintain detailed and accessible MEL documentation, including progress against performance indicators.
Support quarterly, annual, and project-end data aggregation, reporting, and learning activities.
Work closely with technical teams to track project investments and outcomes.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, international development, economics, statistics, or related fields.
3–5 years of experience in MEL roles, preferably in economic growth or financing projects.
Familiarity with USAID or other international donor-funded projects.
Proficiency in designing and managing performance monitoring systems and information databases.
Team-oriented with strong communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
