Position Overview:
Rainforest Alliance seeks a Manager, Project M&E (Coffee Supply Chain) to lead and implement Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) projects in the global coffee sector. This role involves supporting a partner’s regenerative transition efforts, improving sustainability across coffee supply chains, and managing data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions.
Responsibilities:
Project and Team Management:
Supervise all aspects of the M&E coffee project, including planning, data analysis, and stakeholder coordination.
Lead a global team of at least five members, coordinating M&E field data collection across 15+ countries.
Develop work plans, address project management needs, and ensure alignment with project goals.
Manage capacity-building initiatives for team members.
Oversee project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and efficient resource allocation.
M&E Expertise:
Design, review, and advise on M&E systems, focusing on regenerative agriculture, carbon emissions, and farm economics.
Coordinate the dissemination of M&E results to stakeholders and company partners.
Ensure timely and high-quality work implementation and the use of best practices in data collection and analysis.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree in agriculture, environmental management, or a related field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in the coffee sector.
Strong strategic planning, organizational skills, and experience managing remote, multicultural teams.
Proficiency in English (Spanish/French a plus).
Experience with data analytics software (Stata, SPSS, R) and visualization tools (Power BI) preferred.
Ability to travel internationally (15-20% per year).
Additional Information:
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
Travel: Up to 20% annually.
Location Requirements: Applicants must be authorized to work in the Netherlands, UK, or Kenya.
