Role Overview:
Cytonn is seeking energetic, passionate, and creative individuals for a Legal Internship program aimed at those who have completed their pupillage and are looking to pursue a corporate legal career. This program offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience across various legal functions, including corporate governance, contract review, and legal advisory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in reviewing, drafting, and revising various contracts (e.g., non-disclosure agreements, supplier agreements, professional services agreements).

  • Support real estate conveyancing transactions and corporate governance matters.

  • Provide strategic legal advice on business matters and product development.

  • Assist in improving standard form agreements and legal processes.

  • Conduct research on statutes, laws, and other legal matters affecting the company's activities.

  • Maintain department safes, registers, and documentation.

  • Collaborate with other departments and perform additional tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • A Second Class Upper Degree in Law (LL. B) from a recognized university.

  • B+ or higher in O-levels/high school.

  • Creative and commercial legal thinking with an appreciation for business aspects of the law.

  • Proactive, able to manage potential legal issues creatively.

  • Team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent organization, administration, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • High energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Learning Opportunities:

  • Growth in commercial, corporate, real estate, and investments law.

  • Prowess in contract negotiation, drafting, and management.

  • Practical experience in legal compliance, corporate transactional support, and corporate secretarial tasks.

  • Exposure to legal research, advisory, and litigation.
