Job Description
The Senior Relationship Manager - Chinese Corporate Business is responsible for implementing the strategy for the Chinese customer segment, ensuring profitability targets are met through revenue maximization and cost management. This role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with Chinese customers and suppliers, driving business growth through customized financial solutions. The role also involves ensuring compliance with policies, providing excellent customer service, and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement the Chinese customer segment strategy, ensuring alignment with overall corporate banking objectives.
Drive sustainable growth through the development and delivery of innovative financial solutions to meet customer needs.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with Chinese customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive business solutions and revenue growth.
Cross-sell existing and new products to clients while maintaining effective liaison with relevant business units within the bank.
Champion seamless customer service to ensure customer retention and loyalty.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of the industry, including macro and sector-specific trends, market structures, regulatory requirements, and issues.
Submit quality credit proposals in compliance with the Bank’s Credit Policy guidelines.
Ensure the quality of assigned portfolios is within stipulated Non-Performing Loans (NPL) and Portfolio at Risk (PAR) parameters.
Monitor accounts, ensure timely preparation of relevant reports, and take remedial actions as necessary.
Ensure compliance with the Bank’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Fluent in Chinese (both written and spoken).
University degree from a recognized institution.
Master’s degree in Business Administration and professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, AKIB) are advantageous.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in the financial services/banking sector, with at least 5 years in Chinese relationship management.
Good understanding of the business operating environment, including economic and regulatory factors.
Strong knowledge of Corporate Banking Products and Solutions (e.g., Trade, Cash Management, Asset Finance, Investor Services).
Good analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Demonstrable track record in networking, sales, marketing, and stakeholder management (internally and externally).
Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
