Job Description
The Audit Manager, ICT Assurance is responsible for planning and executing audits related to Information Technology (IT) and cybersecurity assurance. This role ensures the proper functioning of ICT risk management and compliance systems, evaluates effectiveness, and engages with stakeholders for assurance and audit activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and complete audit assignments related to ICT and cybersecurity in consultation with the Head of ICT Audits, within the defined timelines.
Participate in risk assessment processes for ICT Assurance in the bank and document the results.
Contribute to developing risk-based audit plans detailing the scope, nature, and timing of audit activities.
Review systems assessing compliance with policies, procedures, laws, and regulations that could impact cybersecurity. Report on assurance and compliance levels.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ICT risk management systems and assist in investigations when necessary.
Develop audit tests and programs aimed at checking ICT assurance levels efficiently and effectively, in consultation with the Head of ICT Audits.
Stakeholder engagement to agree on audit issues and submit draft reports highlighting compliance levels and other key findings.
Document audit issues clearly, their business impact, and provide recommendations for mitigating risks.
Monitor assurance on ICT security and cyber compliance through stakeholder engagement and report findings regularly.
Follow up on audit issue action plans to ensure completion within agreed timelines.
Provide technical expertise to business regarding controls in ICT infrastructure and systems, including major projects.
Support audit staff by sharing expertise in ICT assurance.
Proactively assess risks through market intelligence, stakeholder engagements, and data analytics.
Escalate delays in audit execution to management in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Personal Attributes:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering from a recognized university.
Certifications: CISA professional certification required. ACCA/CPA/related accounting certifications are preferred. Membership of IIA/ISACA in good standing is preferred. CISM certification is an added advantage.
Experience: 5 years’ experience in internal audit/ICT-related environments, with at least 2 years in information/cybersecurity, preferably in the financial sector or big 4 external audit firms.
Skills:
Professional independence, objectivity, competence, and discretion in audit activities.
Understanding of ICT risk management and cybersecurity processes and controls.
Ability to innovate and keep up with trends in ICT security and audit.
Collaboration skills for effective partnerships with stakeholders.
Strong multitasking abilities and the ability to prioritize audit assignments.
Flexibility to adapt to new audit requirements and trends.
Excellent communication and analytical skills to provide detailed data analysis reports to senior management.
