Job Description
The Head of Business Performance is responsible for leading the financial modelling and analysis activities to support strategic business decisions. The role will involve managing the business planning and budgeting processes, developing financial models, and overseeing performance monitoring and analysis. Additionally, this individual will work closely with business unit leaders to assess commercial opportunities and risks while providing insights to drive high-quality decision-making and value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the financial modelling for strategic business opportunities and initiatives, using various modelling and scenario-building tools to ensure the rigorous testing of assumptions and risks.
Develop and implement processes for business planning, budgeting, performance monitoring, financial modelling, and post-investment review.
Oversee the business planning and budgeting cycle, including budget development and periodic performance reviews with reforecasting.
Collaborate with business unit leaders to conduct comprehensive strategic and tactical analyses of business opportunities and threats.
Gather reliable and timely financial and non-financial data from a variety of sources and provide thorough analysis and insights to support business decisions.
Design and deliver ad-hoc performance reporting and analytics focused on key drivers of value for the business.
Build a performance management culture by implementing robust budgets, metrics, and corporate targets.
Review IFRS9 model outputs, impairment drivers, and translate insights for business teams to inform decisions.
Analyze investment spend and operating costs to identify opportunities for cost-efficient initiatives and improved return on investments.
Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality board and senior management performance packs.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution (Master’s degree is an advantage).
Certified Public Accountant (CPAK) or equivalent qualification.
At least 8 years of experience in the finance field, with specific management experience in the following areas:
Financial analysis & business performance management, including proficiency in business intelligence tools such as EDWH, SQL, SAP BI, Power BI.
Business partnering and managing stakeholder relationships, including senior and multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
Managing teams at various levels of financial expertise.
