Human Resources Assistant - USDH Portfolio - USEFMs Only

Position Details:

  • Series/Grade: FP - 0305 7

  • Salary: Not Specified

  • Work Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week)

  • Promotion Potential: FP-7

  • Duty Location: Nairobi, Kenya

  • Telework Eligible: No

  • Appointment Type: Permanent (Definite - Not to Exceed 5 years)

  • Security Clearance: Secret/Confidential

  • Start Date: Anticipated Summer 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with yearly EER and eAwards processes.

  • Supporting the American HR Portfolio, working with multiple U.S. government agencies.

  • Coordinating with a team of HR Assistants.

  • Requires Secret Security clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of administrative office work experience.

  • Education: High School Diploma required.

  • Skills:

    • Knowledge of Mission, Bureau, and Post Employment Policies.

    • Familiarity with OPM rules and Employment Benefits (e.g., FEHB, FEGLI, TSP).

    • Ability to work with teams, clients of diverse backgrounds, and databases.

    • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preference for U.S. Veterans and U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs).

  • Additional documentation (e.g., DD-214 for Veterans) is required for claiming veteran status.
