Nova Pioneer is searching for an exceptional High School Mathematics/Chemistry Teacher for our Eldoret Boys Campus to start in January 2025. This opportunity is open to teachers with 3+ years of teaching experience. You will play a critical role in delivering an innovative, 21st-century learning experience for our students.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver exceptional, inquiry-based Mathematics/Chemistry lessons that align with the Kenya curriculum.

  • Maintain professional relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

  • Develop lesson plans and collaborate with the Learning Design Team to update lessons as needed.

  • Create an environment conducive to learning, which is developmentally appropriate for the students’ interests and maturity.

  • Infuse passion and excitement for learning in lessons to inspire students.

  • Provide accommodations and modifications to foster student growth and success.

  • Be accountable for students’ academic mastery and progress.

  • Integrate technology to enhance instruction.

  • Set rigorous goals for students, provide feedback, and foster a culture of excellence.

  • Model expected behavior and provide consistent feedback for student behavior.

  • Participate in extracurricular activities like clubs and societies to support student development.

About You

Skills and Qualifications:

  • TSC certification and a relevant Degree in Education with specialization in Mathematics/Chemistry.

  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Flexible and open to change; ability to handle uncertainty and complexity.

  • Proactive problem solver, able to address issues thoughtfully and effectively.

  • Eagerness to contribute to a collaborative, feedback-driven environment.
