About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate High School Computer Studies/Mathematics Teacher to join our team at the Eldoret Girls Campus. This role will involve delivering engaging and inquiry-based lessons in Computer Studies and Mathematics aligned with the Kenyan curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver world-class lessons in Computer Studies/Mathematics that align with the Kenyan curriculum.
Foster positive relationships with students, their families, and colleagues.
Develop lesson plans and collaborate with the Learning Design Team to review and update lessons.
Create a classroom environment that promotes learning and is appropriate for the students' maturity and interests.
Infuse joy and passion into lessons to spark excitement for academic excellence.
Provide accommodations and modifications to support all students’ growth and success.
Be accountable for student mastery of content and academic standards.
Integrate interactive technology to enhance instructional delivery.
Set and communicate ambitious goals for students and provide timely feedback.
Model expected behavior and consistently manage student behavior effectively.
Support extra-curricular activities and school-wide programs aimed at developing well-rounded students.
Serve as a homeroom teacher when required.
About You
Skills & Qualifications:
TSC certification and a relevant degree in Education (specializing in Computer Studies/Mathematics).
At least 3 years of teaching experience in a high school setting.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Flexible and adaptable to change, capable of handling uncertainty and ambiguity.
Proactive problem solver who can identify issues and find appropriate solutions.
Enthusiastic and committed to personal growth and receiving constructive feedback.
