Role Overview:

Nova Pioneer is seeking a passionate, experienced High School Biology/Chemistry Teacher to join the Eldoret Girls Campus in January 2025. As a teacher, you will be pivotal in delivering an exceptional learning experience, shaping students into future leaders and innovators. Your role will encompass teaching, student relationship management, lesson planning, and using technology to enhance learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inquiry-based Biology/Chemistry lessons aligned with the Kenyan curriculum.

  • Build positive relationships with students, their families, and colleagues.

  • Collaborate with the Learning Design Team to develop and refine lesson plans.

  • Maintain a conducive, organized, and engaging classroom environment.

  • Foster a love for learning and promote academic excellence.

  • Provide accommodations and modifications to support student growth.

  • Set ambitious goals for student mastery and provide timely feedback.

  • Model positive behavior and manage student conduct consistently.

  • Serve as a teacher on duty and support school-wide behavior programs.

  • Track academic outcomes and communicate student progress to parents and stakeholders.

  • Engage in extracurricular activities, including clubs and societies.

  • Potentially serve as a homeroom teacher or participate in other school duties.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • TSC Certification.

  • A relevant Degree in Education specializing in Biology/Chemistry.

  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to adapt to change and handle ambiguity.

  • A proactive problem-solver with the ability to address issues effectively.

  • Enthusiastic about embracing Nova Pioneer's organizational culture and feedback-driven development.
