Head of Operations and Information Technology at NCBA Insurance

OVERVIEW

The Head of Operations and Information Technology is responsible for overseeing the planning, directing, and managing of all aspects of operations, technology, customer experience, procurement, vendor management, facilities management, security, and investigations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless integration across various departments while driving operational efficiency and aligning technology with business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operational Leadership: Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations across all departments to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.

• Technology Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of the company’s technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals.

• Customer Experience: Oversee the customer experience strategy, ensuring that customer satisfaction is consistently achieved through effective service delivery.

• Procurement & Vendor Management: Manage the procurement process and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and efficient services.

• Facilities Management: Ensure the maintenance and management of company facilities, ensuring that operational space is safe, productive, and optimized.

• Security & Investigations: Oversee the security and investigations teams to ensure the safety of assets, people, and data within the company.

• Team Leadership: Provide strategic leadership to the Operations and IT teams, ensuring alignment with the broader organizational goals and vision.

• Budgeting and Financial Management: Responsible for budget preparation and overseeing the financial management of operational and technology departments.

• Collaboration with CEO: Work closely with the CEO and other senior leadership to support and implement strategic initiatives across the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Operations Management, or related field.

• At least 8 years of experience in a senior leadership role within operations or IT management, with a strong background in managing cross-functional teams.

• Proven experience in strategic planning and executing complex projects related to operations and technology.

• Extensive experience in managing customer experience and driving operational efficiency.

• Strong knowledge of procurement, vendor management, and facility operations.

• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead cross-functional teams.

• Experience in budgeting and financial management for operational and IT departments.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with senior leadership, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, IT, or related field.

• Experience in leading large-scale technology initiatives in a dynamic and rapidly evolving industry.

• Proven track record in security management and investigations.
