Role Purpose
Lead and manage financial strategy, planning, and operations to ensure sound financial management, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives. Drive profitability, sustainability, and growth in the medical insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic:
Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational and group objectives.
Conduct financial forecasting, scenario analysis, and profitability reviews.
Collaborate with actuarial teams on pricing models and develop investment strategies for asset-liability matching.
Analyze profitability across product lines and distribution channels.
Operational:
Oversee financial reporting, cash flow management, and investment portfolios.
Drive cost reduction, operational efficiency, and revenue growth strategies.
Ensure accurate budgeting processes and conduct variance analysis.
Corporate Governance:
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Establish robust internal controls and mitigate financial risks.
Maintain capital adequacy and liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies.
Leadership:
Mentor and develop the finance team for high performance.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Act as the primary financial liaison with external stakeholders.
Key Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of financial management, regulatory compliance, and insurance standards.
Strategic planning, financial modeling, and analysis expertise.
Leadership and team management skills with high integrity.
Academic & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
MBA in Finance or related discipline (advantageous).
CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification.
Membership in ACCA or ICPAK.
Experience Required
10+ years in finance with 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
Experience in the insurance or healthcare industry preferred.
