Role Purpose: The FullStack Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions aligned with the enterprise architecture. The role is essential for enhancing customer experiences and internal processes by creating impactful digital solutions utilizing emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy:

  1. Develop scalable and high-performance applications to streamline insurance processes and improve customer engagement.

  2. Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team to align development projects with the company’s strategic goals and architectural standards.

  3. Contribute to creating technology-driven solutions that give a competitive advantage in the insurance industry.

  4. Ensure that solutions are designed with maintainability and scalability in mind, aligned with long-term growth objectives.

Operational:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end software solutions using frameworks such as Laravel, Spring, Python, and JavaScript.

  2. Optimize relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) for critical business applications, ensuring performance and scalability.

  3. Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and improve code quality and reliability.

  4. Resolve technical issues promptly to minimize system downtime and enhance the overall user experience.

  5. Work with UI/UX designers and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Corporate Governance:

  1. Ensure development practices comply with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and software standards.

  2. Identify and mitigate risks in software development to protect the organization’s systems and data.

  3. Uphold ethical standards in software engineering and data management.

  4. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and areas for improvement.

  5. Align software solutions with broader corporate governance objectives such as transparency and accountability.

Leadership & Culture:

  1. Foster teamwork by collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.

  2. Mentor junior developers, supporting skill development and adherence to best practices.

  3. Advocate for Agile practices to improve team performance and adaptability.

  4. Encourage continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

Key Competencies:

  • Ability to design and implement software solutions in line with architecture.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within teams.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance.

  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and evolving business needs.

  • Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP) and CI/CD practices is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in server-side languages and frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Spring, Python).

  • Strong knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks.

  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and database design.

Relevant Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer with a proven track record of delivering end-to-end solutions.
