Financial & Commercial Controller

Role Purpose:
The Financial & Commercial Controller will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the financial health of the organization. This includes financial operations, cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting. The position involves ensuring that internal controls are in place, managing risk, and handling financial reporting. You will also lead in profitability management, margin analysis, inventory control, and product costing. The role requires strong leadership in guiding the finance team to ensure effective performance and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

• Oversee risk management and internal controls, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and best practices.

• Develop and implement strategies to manage profitability and margins, ensuring optimal pricing and product costing.

• Ensure effective tax compliance and debt collection processes.

• Supervise the finance team, fostering continuous improvement through regular performance assessments and mentoring.

• Provide financial insights and support to various departments for effective decision-making.

• Prepare and review financial reports, highlighting key insights and recommendations for leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent are highly preferred.

• At least 10 years of experience in finance leadership roles, demonstrating strong financial management skills.

• Proven expertise in managing budgets, cash flow, profitability, and financial forecasting.

• Strong leadership abilities with the ability to guide and motivate a team to achieve organizational goals.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

• In-depth knowledge of risk management, internal controls, and financial regulations.
