Job Overview:
The Finance Officer will ensure IRC systems and internal controls are followed for financial transactions in the field office, assist the Finance Manager with financial matters, and supervise the Finance Assistant. The role will also include reviewing bank reconciliations, processing payments, preparing cash forecasts, and supporting audit processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare non-PO invoices and submit them for review and approval.

  • Coordinate with HR to ensure the timely submission of incentive payroll for review and proper allocation.

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and monitor outstanding advances and payables.

  • Assist during audits by internal and external auditors.

  • Ensure program advances are accounted for as per policy.

  • Review and confirm the organization of the filing system for easy access and reference.

  • Review taxation schedules and support BVA preparation and monitoring.

  • Process approved vendor invoices and ensure supporting documents are properly filed.

  • Create and upload journals arising from balance sheet reconciliations and reclassifications.

  • Manage bank reconciliation statements and cash flow management.

  • Supervise the Finance Assistant for efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Provide capacity support and training to team members, including volunteers and interns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or CPA II.

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience.

  • Proficiency in Excel, accounting software, and Integra accounting system is an advantage.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
