Job Overview:
The Data Clerk will support the MEAL Officer in achieving the project objectives, ensuring quality data collection and management. This role will focus on maintaining data accuracy and compliance within the RE:BUILD project.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in quality assurance and quality control measures for program interventions.
Assist with client registration and data entry into the program database using tablets.
Verify and clean data to ensure accuracy and prevent double servicing within IRC programs and RE:BUILD partners.
Ensure the accuracy of data collected at all stages and entered into the CommCare application.
Work with the team to develop and update databases and project dashboards.
Collect data during baseline surveys, end-line surveys, follow-up surveys, business monitoring, and USLA monitoring exercises.
Collaborate with program staff on data collection, systems, and information management.
Assist in organizing client and partner feedback sessions with the Client Responsiveness Senior Officer.
Participate in M&E learning cycles and capacity-building workshops for project staff.
Support in the preparation of M&E reports for management and donors.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
Collaborate with M&E staff to implement Monitoring & Evaluation plans.
Visit project sites to provide technical assistance and ensure proper monitoring.
Assist the Senior M&E Officer in data analysis, creating data exports, and dashboards.
Support in preparing timely M&E reports.
Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Information Systems, Database Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, data management, or similar livelihood programming.
Experience with data collection and analysis using open-source tools like ODK Collect, KoBo Toolbox, or CommCare.
Experience with mobile data collection and large database management is an advantage.
Preferred experience in a humanitarian organization or working with vulnerable populations.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills.
Fluency in English and Swahili is required.
