Position Summary
At Rainforest Alliance, we believe in the power of data to drive meaningful change. The Data Management and Intelligence Department is dedicated to enabling data-driven decisions through the delivery of scalable data products, supporting internal decision-making, and unlocking the value of data.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will develop data-as-a-product solutions, create impactful dashboards, design scalable data models, and analyze datasets to uncover insights that inform business strategies. Working closely with diverse internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure the delivery of value-driven data solutions aligned with organizational needs.

Responsibilities

Data Visualization & Reporting: Develop engaging dashboards and reports using BI tools like Tableau or Power BI to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
Data Modeling: Design and build scalable, reliable data models in collaboration with the Data Engineering team to meet organizational data requirements and support self-service solutions.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights. Work with teams across Data Engineering, GIS, and Product to align analytics with broader data strategies.
Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze large datasets to identify trends and actionable insights. Proactively address data quality issues and collaborate with teams to resolve root causes.
Continuous Learning & Improvement: Stay informed on emerging tools and techniques to enhance analytics initiatives. Apply innovative methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Communication: Present analytical findings to non-technical audiences through presentations and workshops. Support teams in building data literacy and understanding analytical tools and insights.

Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in data analysis or related roles.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for working with complex datasets.
Excellent communication skills to translate technical insights for non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with data governance principles and data privacy regulations.
Ability to work independently, manage projects, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Exposure to machine learning concepts and applications.
Knowledge of global commodity supply chains and sustainability practices.
Experience with voluntary standards in agriculture or forestry.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
