For USEFMs, FS is FP. Actual FS salary determined by Washington D.C.
Security Clearance Required: Secret/Confidential Clearance
Appointment Type: Permanent, Definite not to Exceed 5 Years

Duties
Provide consular services to U.S. citizens and conduct non-adjudicatory visa processing.
Assist in investigation and validation studies.
Handle correspondence with the public, attorneys, U.S. and host governments, Congress, and other parties.
Must be able to secure and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Education: Completion of High School.
Experience:
Three years of office administrative experience, including at least one year of consular experience.
Or two years of office administration (FP-07 Training Level).
Or one year of office administration (FP-08 Training Level).
Preference given to candidates qualified at the full performance level.
Evaluations:
Language: Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing of English is required.
Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and database management.
Strong organizational, task management, and filing skills.
Ability to write official correspondence and reports.
Ability to learn and apply complex U.S. and host country laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOS Secret Security clearance.
Tact and good judgment in dealing with the public in sensitive situations.
