About the Department: The Communications Officer role is part of Deloitte’s Consulting Department. This department supports clients in growth, business improvement, and strategic transformation. The role is crucial to the USAID-funded Tujenge Jamii Project, aimed at improving healthcare services in Kenya's four counties (Baringo, Laikipia, Samburu, and Nakuru).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead documentation and ensure compliance with USAID requirements for communication updates.

• Collaborate with IT and other teams to maintain a database of project success stories.

• Provide capacity-building support to staff on communications best practices.

• Develop impact stories in collaboration with project team leads.

• Represent the project in donor events and forums, enhancing visibility and resource mobilization.

• Manage internal and external communications, including social media and public relations.

• Foster strong relationships with media and monitor communications effectiveness.

• Develop engaging content to demonstrate project progress and impact.

• Assist in creating effective channels to communicate with various stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; Professional qualification in Public Relations/Corporate Communications is a plus.

• Experience: At least 5 years in communications within global organizations or large transformation programs.

• Skills:

  • Strong communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work across diverse cultures and geographies.

  • Strong project management and delivery skills.

  • Creativity and innovation in content creation.

  • Expertise in internal communications and employee engagement.

  • Ability to think strategically and manage change effectively.
