Chief of Party, Kenya Integrated Pharmaceutical and Supply Chain Technical Assistance (KIPS) at Palladium

Position Overview: Palladium is seeking a Chief of Party (COP) for the potential 5-year USAID Kenya Integrated Pharmaceutical and Supply Chain Technical Assistance (KIPS) project. The COP will be the primary point of contact for the USAID Contracting Officer and will have authority over decisions related to the project. The COP will ensure the successful implementation of project activities, overseeing coordination with government agencies, donor-funded projects, and implementing partners. The role demands strong project management and leadership skills to translate project goals into day-to-day operations.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the country team to ensure smooth project implementation and achievement of objectives.
Develop and execute a high-quality country strategic plan, reflecting both local and global priorities.
Oversee the quality of technical deliverables related to supply chain and pharmaceutical services.
Supervise senior staff and assist in developing middle management staff.
Ensure project activities are executed on time and meet high-quality standards.
Liaise with stakeholders, including government agencies, USAID, and other donors.
Manage project work planning, budgeting, and financial reporting in collaboration with the country team, technical staff, and HQ staff.
Ensure compliance with project guidelines and SOPs.

Key Competencies:

Experience with international development and working with donors, particularly USAID.
Proven leadership experience in managing complex projects at the country level.
Expertise in global health or health supply chain programs, including procurement, warehousing, logistics, and supply chain management.
Knowledge of 4PL and 3PL logistics, and experience with LMIS, WMIS, TMIS, and control tower software.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with experience managing diverse teams.
Knowledge of USG procurement regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Master’s degree in global public health, supply chain management, healthcare administration, or a related field.
