Role Purpose:
The Business Development Officer, Corporate will report to the Business Development Manager, Corporate Business and will be based at the Head Office in Nairobi. The position holder will be responsible for driving growth and expansion within the corporate business unit, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to the achievement of revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute strategic plans to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the corporate sector. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to formulate effective growth strategies.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, client preferences, and emerging opportunities. Use this data to create targeted sales and marketing strategies to penetrate the corporate market.
Operational:
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, understand their needs, and provide exceptional customer service. Engage continuously with clients to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and contract renewal.
Sales and Proposal Development: Collaborate with the sales team to develop compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to win new corporate clients. Participate in lead generation, prospecting, and contract negotiations.
Corporate Governance:
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to corporate business activities. Implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks.
Contract Management: Review and negotiate contracts with corporate clients, ensuring compliance with legal obligations and alignment with the organization's objectives.
Laws, Regulations, Company Policies:
Stay informed about relevant external laws (e.g., Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Financing of Terrorism, Data Protection) and ensure strict adherence to both legal and internal company policies. Foster an ethical culture, promoting integrity and compliance within the organization.

Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related course
Insurance Professional qualification
Relevant Experience:
