Job Overview:
The Business Development & Partnerships Senior Advisor will play a key role in driving Airbel Impact Lab’s global business development strategy and partnership initiatives. They will collaborate closely with leadership and other teams to implement the organization's fundraising strategy, focusing on both private and public donors. The role involves supporting proposal development, managing partnerships, and driving business development success for the Airbel Lab.
Major Responsibilities:
Strategy and Capture:
Develop and execute a global donor funding strategy for Airbel.
Coordinate the knowledge-sharing process across fundraising teams.
Oversee a pipeline of upcoming funding and partnership opportunities.
Strengthen existing fundraising tools and processes.
Coordinate competition processes internally.
Business Development and Program Design:
Lead proposal writing for Airbel-led proposals.
Ensure project design and budgets are aligned with proposal goals.
Conduct timely Project Design Meetings for quality assurance.
Partnerships Strategy:
Lead Airbel’s approach to partnerships, focusing on building effective collaborations with both global and local partners.
Develop tools and processes for managing partnerships pre- and post-award.
Explore and evaluate partnership opportunities with academic institutions and the private sector.
Experience and Skills:
Required Experience:
Proven success in leading multi-million-dollar humanitarian or development project proposals.
Track record of managing large portfolios and winning substantial awards.
Experience with public and private donors (e.g., USAID, BHA, FCDO, ECHO).
Experience building partnerships and navigating localization trends.
Required Skills:
Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and within diverse, remote teams.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
Strong project management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Fluency in English (French proficiency is a plus).
