Job Overview:
The IRC’s Airbel Impact Lab focuses on designing, testing, and scaling life-changing solutions for people affected by conflict and disaster. The Business Development & Partnerships Senior Advisor will drive Airbel’s partnerships and business development priorities with public and private donors, working closely with Airbel leadership and global technical teams to develop and implement a global fundraising strategy.

Major Responsibilities:
1. Strategy and Capture

  • Develop and drive a global donor funding strategy for Airbel in collaboration with leadership.

  • Oversee pipeline of upcoming funding and partnership opportunities.

  • Coordinate internal competition processes.

2. Business Development and Program Design

  • Lead proposal writing, ensuring overall project quality, integration, and adherence to IRC’s standards.

  • Review budgets for consistency with proposals.

  • Ensure timely and high-quality Project Design Meetings.

3. Partnerships Strategy

  • Lead the development and management of partnerships with global and local organizations.

  • Focus on building partnerships with local civil society organizations and academic centers.

  • Evolve tools and processes to meet Airbel’s strategic priorities.

Required Experience:

  • Experience leading proposal development for large humanitarian and development projects.

  • Success managing complex portfolios and winning major awards.

  • Experience with public and private donors like USAID, FCDO, ECHO, etc.

  • Track record of building and negotiating partnerships.

Required Skills:

  • Strategic analysis and problem-solving.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with remote teams.

  • Strong project management and stakeholder influence skills.
