ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position provides you with the opportunity to work directly with our entrepreneur clients in Inkomoko communities. As a member of the Business Growth Services team, this role will contribute to the direct impact of Kenyan micro and small entrepreneurs to create thriving communities.
We are hiring for Eldoret, Nairobi, and Mombasa. If successful, you will be based in one of these locations.
Responsibilities include:
Client Mobilization (10%): Identify and enroll entrepreneurs based on program criteria, communicate with participants, and represent Inkomoko as an Ambassador in the community.
Training (40%): Organize and provide training using Inkomoko materials, ensuring all clients attend and understand.
Business Consulting & Client Relationship Management (40%): Conduct monthly site visits, generate cash flow statements, and provide strategic advice to improve business sustainability and profitability.
Community Activities Coordination & Administration (10%): Develop relationships with local partners, assist in organizing community engagement events, and manage administrative support tasks.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Digital literacy (basic IT skills for Microsoft Office, Excel, PPT)
Relationship skills (coaching, listening, empathy, trust)
Fluency in English and Swahili
Understanding of micro and small businesses
Strong financial and accounting skills
A university degree in business studies
Must be based in the respective location and have access to a smartphone
