Job Purpose:
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join Jubilee Life Insurance Limited. Reporting to the Senior Projects & Strategy Manager, the position will be based at our Head Office in Nairobi. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving digital transformation, optimizing business processes, and aligning operations with the company’s strategic goals to deliver operational excellence and superior customer experiences.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Strategy:

  • Digital Transformation: Develop and implement a digitalization roadmap with clear phases and milestones.

  • Change Leadership: Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new automation processes and tools.

  • Performance Metrics: Design and monitor KPIs to track the success of process improvements and automation projects.

  • Technology Integration: Collaborate with IT to identify and implement technology solutions aligned with strategic goals.

2. Operational:

  • Process Documentation: Analyze and document current business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.

  • Requirements Analysis: Elicit, validate, and document business and technical requirements.

  • System Optimization: Ensure the integration and interoperability between core life insurance systems and external applications.

  • Automation Design: Develop strategies for automating repetitive tasks to enhance efficiency.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Align with stakeholders through workshops and meetings to validate process improvements.

  • Business Case Development: Prepare business cases with cost-benefit analysis, resource needs, and expected outcomes.

  • Project Support: Support project planning, execution, and monitoring.

  • Cost Analysis: Conduct cost-benefit analysis to ensure the financial sustainability of proposed solutions.

  • Operational Streamlining: Enhance processes to improve product distribution and customer service delivery.

3. Jubilee Life Brand:

  • Enhance the company’s public relations and corporate image with stakeholders and partners.

4. Corporate Governance:

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.

  • Contribute to risk management strategies and maintain accurate process and system documentation.

5. Culture:

  • Foster a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices and good corporate citizenship.

  • Develop initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive company culture.

  • Provide transformational leadership to meet stakeholder expectations.

Key Competencies:

  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the life insurance industry, products, underwriting processes, and regulatory compliance.

  • Interpersonal and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict management abilities.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong skills in risk management and assessment.

  • Innovation and Business Acumen: Highly innovative with strong business acumen, focused on performance and results.

Academic Background & Relevant Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Business, IT, or a related field.

  • Diploma in Insurance.

  • LOMA/CII certification.

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or other relevant certifications.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Life Insurance business.

  • Experience with process automation and digitalization projects is a plus.
