Accounts Receivable Accountant
TextJob Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for managing end-to-end accounts receivable processes, including posting receipts, reconciling accounts, issuing credit notes, and ensuring tax compliance. The role requires strong attention to detail, timeliness, and adherence to company policies to maintain accurate records, facilitate cash flow, and meet collection targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Post AR receipts, VAT, and adjustments promptly.
Reconcile customer and control accounts monthly.
Issue credit notes within specified timelines.
Send monthly account statements to customers.
Follow up on debt collections and ensure timely banking of receipts.
Prepare AR reports, including aging, credit control, and sales trends.
Monitor and report on cash flow analytics weekly.
Manage Pesawise payments and reconciliation.
File VAT, withholding taxes, and levies before deadlines.
Maintain documentation per company policy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proficiency in SAP B1 and MS Office, especially Excel.
Familiarity with tax compliance and AR best practices.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Experience in a similar role within a dynamic environment.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Timely posting and reconciliations (100% accuracy).
Achieving collection targets and maintaining proper documentation.
Filing taxes 2 business days before deadlines.
