About the Internship
The Corporate and Financial Institutions Coverage Internship is an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in one of the most dynamic divisions of Standard Chartered Bank. As part of the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) team, you will work closely with experienced professionals to develop solutions for high-profile corporate clients.
This internship will allow you to:
Explore our diverse financial products, including sustainable trade finance, credit derivatives, and M&A advisory.
Partner with Relationship Managers and Credit Analysts to learn about client portfolio management and financial risk assessment.
Understand how global banking services create impact for businesses and communities worldwide.
What You’ll Be Doing
Support Relationship Management (Assistant Relationship Manager Track):
Collaborate on structuring deals and supporting client negotiations.
Assist in account planning and managing internal approvals.
Identify sales opportunities while ensuring client satisfaction.
Develop Financial Expertise (Credit Analyst Track):
Conduct in-depth credit and risk assessments for corporate clients.
Analyze financial statements and market data to structure complex deals.
Work on sustainability and reputation risk management projects.
About the Programme
The 10-week programme offers a comprehensive introduction to the world of corporate banking.
Programme Highlights:
Orientation and Training: Kick off with an orientation and four days of intensive training on CIB products and strategies.

Eligibility Criteria
We are looking for motivated individuals with a passion for banking and finance.
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a university and set to graduate in 2026.
Available to intern from June 2025 and begin full-time employment in July 2026.
Permanent legal right to work in Kenya.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent time management and communication abilities.
